This is a guest blog today....I've lost my words lately, but thankfully there are people who haven't. I thought this article, written by a guy who went to high school with me, was thought provoking...


Republicans/Tea-Baggers Clinging to their Final Rope by Gary Crites

They are clinging to their final rope and their final hope - Media hate speech that inflames the non-logical, totally emotional side of their constituent's amygdala enlarged brains.

This is their final curtain call. Republicans and tea-baggers have no plan for this country and they never have. Don't believe me? Ask one of them what their plan is today and make them be specific. You will get nothing. And if their party told you what THEIR real plan was - more for the rich and for themselves, and less for everyone else, no one would ever vote for them ever again.

You see, they can no longer run on the regular yearly promises and lies that less taxes and less regulation will produce jobs and prosperity. We've figured that one out already - it doesn't work. And THEY NOW KNOW we've figured it out. In the last few years they've been stealing like hell because they know this is it. They are on their way out. On their way out for good.

But there is one last hope for these worthless stealing scoundrels, and it is like I said earlier - It is if they can appeal to their party's amygdala enlarged brains. The amygdala, the enlarged fear center recently discovered in the primitive brain of the conservative. This is the fear/reactionary non-logical/primitive fear center that reacts purely out of fear, without any consideration or thinking whatsoever, the reptilian brain, if you will.

This is their last gasp - To get their party to vote out of emotion and fear without thinking. Conservatives have been shown to be extremely susceptible to these primitive reactions and extremely susceptible to these bastardy tactics.

This is why Sarah Palin made her tape today defending her right to pour gasoline on burning divisive embers and in the same sentence blaming others for doing the same - what she's made a career out of. These flames must be kept burning or the fire of divisiveness and emotion, the fire that keeps the brain switch in off position, and brings in votes from the stupid people, goes out.

Now, for their constituents, they present their new and final phase of their last gasp solution for America's problems - a gun. This is about as low as a party can sink. This is how we know they are about to fold their tails and run. This is their final skit, their last act, their grand finale. We need only to be a bit more patient.
